The idea is to start fresh and fine-tune your Rangers’ CLASSIC attributes, perks, skills, and, yes, even their quirks. Although you have the means to pick pre-made Rangers, you’re better off making your own. Getting to level 2 and finding out you are not straight into god mode and then rage-quitting for a refund is hilarious.Let’s face it, character creation in Wasteland 3 will take you a while. People are getting bent all out of shape over something so trivial. Try it without them and see before moaning about something that is not even needed. They are simply not needed to get through the game. Big difference for sure but it is working as advertised and there is no need whatsoever for this magical 5 extra skill-points per level-up everyone seems so annoyed about missing out on. They cannot blame the game for something that actually does what it states it would do just because they don't like it. They need to go back to whoever taught them basic comprehension skills if they want to blame anyone. They may have read it but they have seen what they wanted to see and not what is there.

People have simply seen the int, seen the bonus skill points and assumed it was the same as WL2 while completely failing to actually comprehend what was written. I agree it's pretty clearly stated what it does. Originally posted by SnapSlav:If you somehow fail to read the description that tells you in no uncertain terms that you gain a static amount of SP per specific investment in INT, SOONER OR LATER you really should pick up on all the clues that this game does not work just like the previous game. You just need to not rely all your plans on baseless assumptions, and actually bother to read the details that the game's not hiding from you. You don't need to be on the forums to read the discussion to realize that SP/lvl is static and INT doesn't change this. If you somehow fail to read the description that tells you in no uncertain terms that you gain a static amount of SP per specific investment in INT, SOONER OR LATER you really should pick up on all the clues that this game does not work just like the previous game. Early in the game you find out that EVERY level (starting at 3) you get a point to spend on increasing any of your Attributes. Designing your character, you realize that you have FAR fewer points to distribute across your Attributes than you did at the beginning of WL2. You read the Attributes and you see that they DO NOT do the same things that they did in WL2, so you can't design your characters the same way as the previous game. So you keep looking at the Skills and you notice that they're not all the same as in WL2, but many of them seem to be carried over. But, assuming you're particularly hardheaded, or just slow, you keep on with this assumption that it does. If you were to suspect that SP worked the same way in W元 as it does in WL2, and you remembered WL2, you'd realize that Skills don't cost the same as they do in WL2, and then you'd immediately realize that no, this does NOT work the same way as it does in the previous game. If you played WL2, you'd know that you DO NOT get 1 SP/lvl for every 2 INT, you got it at uneven break points of 4, 8, and 10 INT.
